Epping Boys High School a major drawcard for buyers

A recent Domain report has placed Epping at the top of the list for property price rises based on public school zones, with the suburb’s exceptional educational reputation leading to competition for homes.

Domain’s 2020 School Zones Report revealed property prices jumped 32.3 per cent in the Epping Boys High School catchment, which covers parts of Epping, Marsfield, Macquarie Park and North Ryde – the largest increase for any school zone across Sydney.

According to Domain analyst Dr Nicola Powell, families are purchasing in areas that meet their budget, including Epping, but factors such as school catchment zones are playing a major role in the decision-making process. She confirmed that the popularity of a school could influence property price growth because it could be a drawcard for people to move to a particular area.

For purchasers at Cbus Property’s The Langston project, which is conveniently zoned for Epping Boys High School, courtesy of its location just 3.5 kilometres away, this provides yet another benefit to their future lifestyle in Epping.
